Found this in my scalf right before going to bed last night. Luckily, I had a tick remover (made for dogs) and was able to pull it out. I still can’t believe this was in my hair- I’ve never even been bitten before. I’m trying to figure out how it got there.
I washed my hair and got a haircut yesterday morning, so it wasn’t there before then. After that, I took my dog to a paved trail (not a wooded area) for about 10 minutes before heading to the vet. I made sure my dog stayed on the trail and sprayed her with Wondercide tick repellent, and I checked her to make sure she didn’t bring in any ticks.
Later that afternoon, I went to a park to play pickleball. I did walk through a bit of grass from the parking lot to the court, but not for long.
This is the second time I’ve found a tick (last time it was crawling on my bed, which I also posted here). And for both times, I went to the same park.
I’d really appreciate it if anyone can help identify this tick. I’m in metro detroit michigan.
