What can I add or do to make my garden thrive and support the bees? Currently planted two peppers, three tomatoes, a zucchini, and a cucumber in the large plot. Lavender, basil, and last years rosemary are in a raised bed on the side. Onions and a mosquito plant in a second raised bed. I don’t know what to do with my rosebud, it’s my first and clearly exploded after only one year in the ground.

The space blocked off with wood holds a cable line we cut with the tiller last year 😅 I’m trying to leave it empty just in case.

I only use vinegar and dawn for weeds and don’t use any pesticides. Squash bugs were a huge problem for me last year, along with caterpillars on my tomatoes. I’m highly interested in a bait plant.

I planted ever bearing strawberries around the fence line three years ago. They bear tiny fruit for my pups to snack on.

I have two spaces I could easily carve out for native flowers and prefer low water and low maintenance recommendations. I’m in NC. I’m also not opposed to planting a tree that will stay relatively small (under 20 feet) with proper maintenance. Photos taken at 5:30pm, yard gets all day sun.
