I dont remember a whole lot about the book because I was a teenager but I remember the book being set in Ancient Greece or Ancient Rome (I think). It was from a females POV and I remember a scene in the beginning where she'd gotten her first period because I found it interesting they used rags back then.
The only other thing I remember was her being married off and I feel like it alluded to her husband being gay and maybe preferring other men to her (I want to say it was her brother?). She does end up getting pregnant but I either didn't finish it or can't remember what happened because this all happens in the first half of the book
I think the cover was pinkish with gold accents. Could just be making that part up though. This would have been in the late 2000s/early 2010s that I read this book
