Me and my friends (irl) were trolling a scammer who wants to use the impersonator scam
Context for the scam:
impersonator scam is basically the scammer will tell u to trade your friend your pets and the unfriend each other the trade back then before u trade back they will trade your friend with an new account with a similar username to make ur friend thinks that they are trading you
Story time: we were trolling them and I told my friends on call (over 3 time) always double confirm and tell me if they are trading even though if they are 100% sure it is me and after like 30 minutes I was telling them in the call I’m gonna leave u guys (basically also telling the scammer in chat) and after a minute I joined back and asked my friend for my pets back and while she was giving i noticed she didn’t add the bat dragon so I asked where it was and she was like I gave ur bat to you and I was like no u didn’t and after that she started muting herself in the call when I asked her so what do we do now. I couldn’t even get the pets back since it was traded on my friends account and if they reported it and somehow get the stuff back it wouldn’t be tradable
My opinion on this incident:
I think I have to take the certain about of blame and is my fault for wanting to troll the scammer for fun but I do think they shd also pay me back in cash for some of the lost of the bat dragon since I have clearly told them over and over to double confirm and never assume that is me or anything and any action shd be told in the call before done
I don’t want any hate towards any of them expect for the scammer I just wanted to know what would you do in this situation and what should I do
