What romantasy should I read next?
I’ve been on a 2026 kick of either reading 5/6 star reads or giving up with a DNF… what should I read next that’s going to keep the good vibes going?
What I loved that I’ve read this year:
- shield of sparrows / rites of the starling
- wolf king
- the poison daughter
What I DNF’ed:
- Plated Prisoner (got through book 3 but i felt like nothing happened MFC cringe too)
- Forged in Blood (too much smut, not enough plot and MFC was cringe)
Like good plot / character development / strong MFC with spice. Not really in the mood for dark right now. Yes, I’m a ACOTAR / Fourth Wing girlie.
What should I read next that’s got the vibes of what I loved this year? I can’t handle another DNF!
On my TBR:
- Riftborn (heard The Ascended is amazing, but this book isn’t the best, but got to read it)
- Dire Bound
- Never Keep (loved ZA and all their other books)
- Road of Bones
