Hi all! Just posting to see if anyone has had similar findings as this was unexpected, and my dad had ZERO symptoms. Initially my dad was ordered by his doctor to get a ct scan W contrast for preparation for his surgical hernia repair when they found a mass on his kidney. Now his surgery has been postponed as there wanted him to get that figured out first due to the size of the mass.
His report said:
Impression
- Left upper pole renal mass measuring 5.4 × 6.2 × 3.8 cm.
Findings
are concerning for renal cell carcinoma. Urology consultation is recommended.
Fat-containing left inguinal hernia.
Mild hepatic steatosis.
He has been having panic attacks. Unable to sleep, eat and constantly just consumed in the thought of not wanting us to take care of him in case he needs chemotherapy. I have been scheduling all his appointments for him. He keeps pushing away help but my mom says he is honestly scared. He took a leave from work and all he does is leave for hours on walks. My mom isn’t the best support to be honest. And I just want to make sure he is okay but is hard when they don’t want to speak to you about it and the only person he confides in is my mom. Who says she’s tired of hearing him. In fact, she stopped looking for him when he is gone for a while on these walks, she couldn’t care less what he is going through. Last time he was gone for two hours and she was just sitting down watching tv saying he just wants attention. But he doesn’t invite anyone but my mom to his walks, he doesn’t talk about his emotions but with my mom and my mom i don’t understand why just can’t be there for my dad
