Should I stop my Birth Control after a month?

I will be consulting a doctor about this but I find that real experiences are quite helpful.

Basically my gyno has put me on diane-35, I didn't really want to get on birth control in general because I used to be on Yasmine pills when I was 17 and they made me quite depressed, made me gain weight and made my hair very thin.

I have been losing weight recently on my own but decided to see the doctors due to my irregular periods. While I have a lot of PCOS/PMOS symptoms (excess hair/ high testosterone/ acne/ late periods) I am not insulin resistant and my ultrasound did not show signs of PCOS so I wasn't diagnosed with my PCOS but my doctor suggested diane to deal with the acne and high testosterone and to regulate my periods.

My appetite has increased quite a lot as a result and I am worried I will regain my weight back and that when I stop diane-35, I will have to deal with all of the symtpoms returning. So I kinda want to stop earlier before the damage is fully done. Is this a good idea or should I stick it out for 4-5 months? Does anyone have experience with specifically diane-35? Can I deal with irregular periods in a more natural way; I feel like the doctor's solution is always BC which worries me?

Thanks in advance (and sorry for posting here despite not having PCOS, I feel like most of my symptoms are quite similar so it'll be helpful to me).
