for gr 11s and 12s i saw that summatives are 25% or smth does that mean there has to be an exam worth 25% or is it a summative plus exam? does that depend on the teacher?

How come US uni applications are so much different compared to Canada? They have standardized tests, they focus sm on ec's and supp app, but here in Canada all we got is grades mostly and our issue with that is grade inflation. Why cant our uni appls be similar to the US. i think it would make things simpler and people with actual ambition for a super competitve program would get in rather than someone with js high inflated grades
Im a gr 10 HighSchool student in ontario. I want to either become an optometrist or physician. idkk. Optometry is my main interest, its such a cool job. Is it hard to get in? How come only 400 people apply? I want to go to Mac life sci for my undergrad and is that a bad idea? would it be hard to keep a good gpa with ecs?
Does waterloo have a different adjustment factor for IB students in ontario? checked the official waterloo adj factor pdf and theres nothing on ib. do they just use your schools factor?

im in gr 10 im just worried about english, I have decent grades in gr 10 and i took gr 11 math early. total gr 10 avg is like 94 (minimal effort). im js worried cuz english is hard to get a good mark in. im going to do gr 11 english next year and try my best and see what mark i can get and depending on that ill plan on wether or not doing summer or eschool. the thing im worried abt is that wloo and uoft care abt taking required courses for admission out side of day skl. what should i do?
Really tho, scrolling through the spreadsheet looking at stats ec's, its crazy, genuinely how do people with crazy averages and good ec's still get rejected from wloo and utsg eng? even mac eng rejected some decent applicants. Im in gr 10 rn, gr 11 this september my grades are good mid 90s with minimal effort and i have decent ec's and 100% planning on expanding on my ec's i have some time until uni apps. I dont know, how worried I should be? What do these unis even want from applicants? Honestly this proccess is really stressing me out.
