Hey guys, this is my first time on this sub-Reddit.
I wanted to share my weird experience going to a lodge for the first time.
So My buddy (18) and I (18) has always been interested in the freemasonry since we’re 16, and now that we both turned 18 this year, we decided to attempt a Freemasonry meeting in our town.
We wrote Emails to the lodge which got answered by an Invitation to attend a lecture about Organ spending (from a 3rd Partie organization who promotes it).
We both accepted.
When the day came by when we were supposed to attend the meeting, I didn’t really eat much that day due to lack of time. (Becomes important later)
Once we arrived at the lodge we were greeted by the Members and got welcomed pretty politely, I knew some people by the look since we live in a small city where most people know you from growing up.
The higher tiers from the lodge (I expect they were by the pin they wore on there clothes)
Asked us how we got the interest in freemasonry and why we were there. After a little small talk the presentation began and we sat in second row next to a really high tier guy who were already 50 years active as a freemasonry.
My buddy talked with him and noticed how defined his mind was for his age (side fact idk)
The presentation was nothing special… until I got this uneasy feeling in me, I really wanted to stand up and go out for a breeze of fresh air but didn’t since I did not wanted to cause a scene, this uneasy feeling didn’t left me until I started to lose vision, I basically lost the ability to see, like my eye were basically Not existing.
My whole body was buzzing but I were still able to hear the presentation.
I’m pretty sure my eyes were also open while I couldn’t see and I tried to just calm so I don’t cause a scene in front of everybody.
After like a minute of freaking out in my mind (cuz I couldn’t see) I passed out.
[that’s how my friend was describing the scene]
He Sayed that I started to fall forward and he thought that I fell asleep, he didn’t wanted to wake me up since he thought that I should deal with it on my own.
But if I would’ve been asleep the falling forwards would’ve waken me up. The moment I fell he figured that something was wrong and I guess catches me before hitting the Chair in front or something (I don’t really if I would’ve hit the chair in front or fallen on my knees, one of those choices)
He definitely stepped somehow in and hold me, after that I became conscious again hearing really num and not feeling my body, next to me was a doctor as it turned out and he checked if I was alive (I guess?)
Everybody rushed by to see what happend and I was just trying to recall my body (I thought I’m gonna die there because of some heart attack or something)
The doctor took me with my friend into a smaller room besides the presentation hall and layer me on a blue blanked + Covered me in blue blanked setting my feet on a chair in order to calm my body, he also gave me a Twix and a cola so that I get some sugar in my body.
After that I was alright again and set around 10-15 minutes later back at my set finishing the presentation.
After that the head leader (I guess) told us that he will invite us to another meeting where they’ll actually talk about masonry stuff (the actual reason why we asked in the first place).
I passed out around 9:30pm (we figured due to the timestamp of the fotos we took of me laying on the ground in the backroom.)
After we left the lodge my friend told me that he also feel really uneasy during the presentation and describes it like a derealisation.
At that time we just laughed it off thinking nothing big of it and reasoned the pass out, with me working all day and not eating properly.
(Mind you I never ever passed out before because of stress; food; or anything)
Now 2 weeks passed and my friend sent me a screenshot of an Email he got, inviting him to a next meeting, I checked my emails and realized that I did not got an invited.
That kinda freaked us out so we searched up „passing out in freemasonry context“ and it was explained with the leaving of your old self and something about rituals.
We are dying to figuring out wth happens to me (probably won’t get any answers tho) and why I didn’t got an invited (maybe a sign that I was to weak minded for them or something) or just that they found it inappropriate passing out and causing a scene (my explanation).
If anyone had similar experience or can tell me something about such happening
Please give us some hints or answers because we are really curious.
