Is this actually RLS, or is it a pinched nerve / back issue?

Hi everyone, I’ve been struggling for a long time with symptoms that closely mimic Restless Legs Syndrome, but I’m not 100% sure it actually is RLS and I'm hoping to get some insights from this community. The main symptom aligns perfectly with an overwhelming urge to move my limbs when trying to fall asleep, however a few things make me doubt the diagnosis.
Most people with RLS describe a creepy-crawly or tingling sensation, but for me it’s more of a dull ache, similar to a recent muscle cramp or intense tension. Also, over the years, the location of this ache has changed from my calves and occasionally biceps to the inner side of both forearms, and I wonder if your RLS shifts like this too.
Another thing is that I've noticed a strong correlation between these aches and my lower back or glute issues. When I started back-strengthening exercises, the pain changed and the calf aches disappeared for a while before returning in my forearms. I've noticed that my symptoms sometimes directly coincide with how and where I sit, like in a car or on a couch, where bad posture seems to make it worse.
I would love to know if any of you experience RLS as a muscle ache rather than tingling. Does your RLS trigger while simply sitting still on a couch during the day? Has anyone found their symptoms to be directly linked to spine, posture, or nerve compression issues?
Thanks in advance for your thoughts.
