I understand why it's R for the Fisher Projection. I am confused about why it is S for the cyclic structure. I'm confused about how you know which one is the dashes and wedges for OH and H in the explanation.

Is it based on the fact that the Fisher Projection revealed it to be R? Can I assume that a linear to cyclization change will always flip the sign R--> S or S--> R.

• Conclusion
  • This setup nets me tons of Bricks really fast. All the other setups I used kept having bottlenecks when it came to mixing.
