Are you guys also seeing this happen? On the Thailand Tourism subreddit, and a few others like Bangkok there are like literally dozens and dozens of comments and threads just being flagged to death by these visa agency sock puppets. Pretty much any time someone mentions visa scams or immigration (or lately, cannabis questions) they will be immediately down-voted to zero and in many cases their comment or thread will get removed by the automod filters.

Several users have also been auto-banned from the flagging attacks, and everyone seems to know exactly who is behind it all, but can’t stop it…

I recently found out I may qualify for Mexican citizenship through my father, who was born in Mexico, and I’m trying to understand what the process is actually like from people who’ve gone through it themselves.

At first it sounded pretty straightforward, but the more I research, the more I see people talking about issues like:

Names not matching across documents Trouble getting older birth certificates Different requirements depending on the consulate Delays even when everything seems correct

For those who successfully applied through their father:

What documents ended up being the most important? What part of the process caused the biggest delays? Is there anything you wish you knew before starting?

Trying to avoid common mistakes early, so I’d really appreciate hearing real experiences or advice from anyone who’s been through it.

In Phuket and Chiang Mai they have apparently been doing some random traffic stops at night and if they find cannabis on you they have been asking to see your “wet ink” PT33 papers to prove that you legally purchased it and if you don’t have it, asking for heavy fines. Has this happened to anyone in the Bangkok area? Asking for a friend…
