You spend months building a community. New player joins, says something edgy in chat, bot bans them instantly. They never come back.

Was it the right call? Maybe. Maybe not. You'll never know because you weren't even asked.

The 2022 reporting system drama showed that server owners don't want Microsoft deciding what happens on their server. But I'd argue most moderation plugins have the same problem — just local instead of corporate.

What's actually the right balance? Full auto-mod? Manual review only? Something in between?

Genuinely curious how other owners handle the gray areas.
