Utterly fed up
Apologies in advance for the long post but I’m just fed up of this whole process. 35F, found a small, hard, movable lump and saw the GP on 19/02/26. Said likely fibroadenoma but referred me under the 2 week wait to the best clinic. Appt arranged for 11/03/26, said likely fibroadenoma but would need to do US. Then after US said they needed to do a core needle biopsy. They said all reassuring but the only way to rule out would be for a biopsy. Anyway, had it and then had to wait 3 weeks for the results. Contacted 26/03/26 told benign and move to the benign clinic. Had another appointment on 27/03/26 told that the results didn’t match radiology and would need another appointment. When I got my letter though it said that there was a partially-circumscribed lesion (hence biopsy) biopsy come back as normal breast tissue. Another appointment made for 12/05/26 (6 weeks after the biopsy results, with the biopsy happening 3 weeks before then). Prepare myself for another biopsy, met with the Breast surgeon this time, basically reiterated all of the above, said I need another biopsy, VAC assisted this time, and she would schedule another appointment for 2 weeks time. We are now already 12 weeks since the initial 2 week wait referral. Get my appointment through today and it’s for 19/06…. Another 4 weeks away, with a likely 3 week wait for the results. I feel like I’m losing my mind 😭😭😭
