0 LH and FSH, fluctuating hormones – Anyone else experienced this? (Looking for advice/reassurance)
Hi everyone,
I’m a 23-year-old girl and I really need some reassurance or to hear from anyone who might have had a similar experience with fluctuating hormones. I feel like my body is playing tricks on me, and it's starting to take a toll on my mental health.
My Background & Hormonal Rollercoaster:
I was on birth control for about 6 to 7 years due to a PCOS diagnosis. I finally decided to stop taking the pill in December 2024.
Here is how my hormones (LH and FSH) behaved after that, which is incredibly confusing to me:
2 months after stopping (Feb 2025): My LH and FSH levels were completely normal.
7 months after stopping (July 2025): My levels suddenly dropped drastically. This is when I was officially diagnosed with Hypothalamic Amenorrhea (HA). My doctor eventually put me on Climen (sequential HRT) to help out.
6 months ago (January 2026): I did my bloodwork again, and my levels were back to being completely fine/normal.
Now (May 2026): They have bottomed out to literal zero again.
The Weight & Stress Component:
My height is 169. When this started, I weighed around 55 kg. I managed to gain some weight and I am currently sitting at 58 kg.
During my 7-day pill-free break from Climen this past Wednesday, I did my bloodwork, and the results completely terrified me:
LH: 0.1
FSH: 0.2
Estradiol: < 37
Also, my AMH is extremly high.
My Question:
Has anyone else seen their hormones fluctuate like this? Can a surgical stress (like wisdom teeth removal back-to-back) coupled with low body weight completely wipe out LH/FSH overnight even if they were fine a few months ago?
Thank you so much for reading. ❤️
