Looking to Connect Over Hobbies
Hi! My name is David and I've just moved back to Naperville after living in Milwaukee for 10 years. I don't have any friends here at the moment and was hoping to connect with some lovely people through Reddit.
I'll try to give you an idea of what I'm like so you can assess if we'd vibe.
I've been on this planet for 28 years. I love to work with my hands and be physically active. I currently go to Planet Fitness on Ogden 3-5 times a week.
I like to play guitar and sing - let's jam out.
I love pottery and ceramics, although I'm having a hard time finding a studio that offers memberships around here.
I've been into video and board games for 15 years. I've made enemies through Catan.
It's been so much fun rollerblading around downtown.
I'm a eat to live type of person when I cook at home, but I love to eat in general and never shy away from trying something new.
This nice weather has me itching to play beach volleyball and be near water.
When its colder outside, you might catch me snowboarding or ice skating.
Animals love me, and I love animals. I have two cats at the moment. At a large party, maybe you'll find me playing with the hosts pets, or in the bathroom. If you see me going to the bathroom multiple times, it's because I'm overstimulated, not because I have a small bladder.
There's 6 house plants chilling near my bedroom windows. I had to downsize during the move 😭
Adhd has blessed me with many hobbies and interests.
Personality wise....
I score high on openness, agreeableness, and introversion. I take pride in being a good listener and conversation partner. I generally prefer smaller gatherings, but you could catch me at a rave or EDM festival too.
I feel the most alive when my senses are engaged. I hate texting and being on a screen for too long for this reason.
