I wanted to take a moment to talk about the things I really enjoyed about the recent gameplay and updates. I love that you can see how protective Coen is, like the recent Community Bulletin stated:

This transformation will put his values and resolve to the test, but it will never shake his determination to protect those he loves.

He knows everyone in Laslea, including Lazar. Lazar seems like... he needs protecting, to put it simply lol. The music has been another highlight for me! Everything we've heard so far is fantastic, you can tell the soundtrack is going to be an absolute banger. I'm excited to see more! It's the only thing keeping me sane while I wait for the September release. >!Obviously, we need more Ambrus.!<

Can we please take a moment to appreciate how menacing and demonic Brencis sounds in Polish? Lol Jacek Mikołajczak knocked it out of the park. His performance sounds so inhuman, but I love Andrew Spooner's portrayal as well. His version sounds more aristocratic and charismatic though. >!I really can't wait to hear more of Lorne Macnaughton!<

Graphics-wise, it's looking amazing, especially Coen when he's all feral with blood and dirt on his face. But there is definitely room for improvement. What are some criticism/praise? Excluding the futuristic CGI trailer

Things I noticed:

- Bakir is a dog dad
- There's a froggy/dinosaur/snake hybrid monster 👀
- Brencis calls Coen "son" (I just think that's adorable)

Why does he remind me of Raiden from the 1995 Mortal Kombat/Geralt? I was not expecting that (especially future!Coen). That was the most "normie" presentation of the game so far, and I get it, they're trying to appeal to a wider audience... 😂 I dunno how to feel...

Edit: I think it was the music and Marvel-esque presentation that threw me off. It felt so out of place compared to their other trailers, but I'm still excited.

Silly thread, but I'm curious. You wake up in Vale Sangora and have to attend Blood Mass.

- You cannot flirt with Anca. She's busy staring at Coen.

- You cannot sit with Coen. He's with his family.

- You are not the chosen one. You're just you.

Your options:

A) Sit in the front pew and hope Lord Brencis notices you and appreciates your unwavering devotion ❤️

B) Sit in the back pew and pray Ambrus doesn't notice your complete lack of enthusiasm (and decides to make an example out of you).

C) Have a complete mental breakdown and disrupt the whole ceremony.

D) Something else - please explain.

It was revealed in the gameinformer article that the difficulty settings will be:

- Story

- Normal

- Duelist

- Nightmare

I'm thinking of playing Nightmare myself to make my first playthrough last longer. I played TW3 on Death March in my first playthrough and it was so much fun.

So humans who drink vrakhai blood are immune to disease, but it also makes them physically stronger? It reminds me of the Red Templars and their dependence on red lyrium in DA, which makes me wonder:

If it's specifically Xanthe’s blood that strengthens the Blood Guards since they serve under her, or if any vrakhai blood can enhance humans. And what about the villagers attending Blood Mass? If they’ve been consuming vrakhai blood every month are they unknowingly dependent on it? Could there be withdrawal symptoms or long term side effects if they stop drinking it/attending Blood Mass?

I’m also curious what would happen if a human drank dawnwalker blood instead. Would it affect them differently? And even though Coen’s blood contains silver, could Brencis and his clique still gain unique abilities or benefit from drinking it? 🤔

This is literally one of the only clips I can find of a dev talking about Ambrus ❤️ it also sounds like there's going to be some conflict within the clique 👀

How do vampires sleep if they can't go out during the day?

Are they all sleeping the traditional way, in coffins with their hands folded over their chests or something completely different? Because I love the idea of them having individual preferences like:

- Xanthe hanging upside down from the cathedral ceiling

- Brencis sleeping in the previous ruler’s enormous bed with the curtains drawn and the windows boarded shut

- Bakir sleeping curled up in a cave somewhere

- Ambrus sleeping in wolf form in his lair

Which raises another important question since vampires burn in the sunlight, could you theoretically just ambush Brencis while he’s asleep? 👀

I know romance is not the main focus, but Rebel Wolves have talked about wanting relationships to feel organic rather than artificial like the gift giving system.

However, when it comes to relationships, Rebel Wolves also monitors that. "We track your choices individually on a more detailed level," Mateusz Tomaszkiewicz says. I'm wondering:

- if characters will confront Coen if he's romancing more than one person

- if characters get jealous

- react to Coen's romantic choices approving/disapproving

- if some routes are locked depending on your choices cough Ambrus cough

I loved if you tried to romance Yennefer and Triss at the same time you got punished for it.

Let's just say HYPOTHETICALLY Coen romances Anca and Ambrus at the same time. Ambrus finds out and then Anca mysteriously goes missing lol... But no, I'm really interested in how Rebel Wolves will handle this if it's possible

Has anyone else paid attention to some of the things NPCs are saying in the background? Lol

I noticed from the newest gameplay footage that the soldiers are wearing gold & black in the territory under Ambrus's command, and there's a different flag in Svartrau City (where Brencis's castle is?) and how Xanthe has her blood guards.

I think it's cool that there are different enemies tied to each vrakhri.

Can we just walk straight into Brencis's castle after the prologue and surrender without fighting? 🥺👉👈

How can a Roman senator say no to a cutie patootie like Coen-chan?

With Anca officially confirmed, it's likely Lacra will be the second romance option. I think we can all agree on that. They were both introduced shortly after the cinematic trailer alongside our four antagonists. That leaves one option left, which everyone is assuming (and I think was confirmed earlier on) will be a male option.

I don't think it's Marat because he was introduced to us late April. Why reveal a romance option in the final stretch of marketing when the fanbase has already spent a year emotionally invested in the established characters?

Ambrus and Coen have a lot in common. They're both newly turned vampires, but while Coen's fighting to retain his humanity (optional? Lol) Ambrus is embracing his new powers after suffering a painful and humiliating past. Maybe Coen needs to show him the tender love and care that was so cruelly denied to him when he was human (btw: I hope his questline involves helping him take revenge on those who scarred his beautiful face). This is PERFECT for an enemies to lovers arc (which a lot of fans have been asking for).

Also, you can't tell me his visual design isn't screaming romance bait. I think the developers knew exactly what they were doing when they created him. People flock to characters like him (Alucard, Lestat, Spike, Eric and the success of BG3 and the fan favourite Astarion).

SPOILER: >!Now let's address the fact Coen and Ambrus were both sired by Brencis. I don't see why this would rule out romance. They're not related in a human sense. Their bond is supernatural and I'm betting/hoping it's going to play a massive role in the story (romantic or not). There are couples that share the same sire, e.g Eric and Nora from True Blood (a confirmed inspiration for the devs!) and Rosalie and Emmett from Twilight. The same goes for sire/fledgling, the most iconic being Lestat and Louis from The Vampire Chronicles or Spike and Drusilla from Buffy. The devs must see how popular Ambrus is. Did they foresee the hype?!<

Lastly, Ambrus is described as charming, deceiving and dangerous. Charming? Are you telling me he's going to charm Coen's socks off? Hmm... I don't care about the red flags! Lol

What do you think happens if you wait until Coen's hangry, then go to talk to Ambrus, Lacra or any other non-human NPC? Do you think they would be strong enough to shove him away or hold him back?
