I have a window that has moisture damage around the frame and part of the window. Looking to hire someone to repair the damage and replace the window. Any window companies/contractors around fredrick/mount airy that you recommend?
So I'm a first time home owner and have lived in my house about half a year. I've noticed that the culking around all the windows on the house are worn out and cracked. After doing some research I some contradictory statements on what is the right thing to do since I have vinyl siding. The house was built in the mid 80s and I'm not sure if the siding is original to that or was updated at some point. Basically I have 3 questions since I dont really what I am doing. 1 should I redo the culk as it was done before all the way around the window? 2 just do the top and sides and leave the bottom open for moisture drainage? 3 just remove the old culk and leave it as is since the vinyl j channel around the window should direct water away? Any feedback is appreciated
