Credit card details stolen and thief bypassed 3DS security verification - how?
My card was compromised and I have a charge for $400+ from Fashion Nova which I didn't place. Already had the card cancelled.
My question is: how was someone able to place an order this large without having to go through the SMS/email verification? Any time I place an order online, no matter how big or small, I'm redirected to the scotiabank website to verify myself. I don't understand how the thief could get the transaction to go through and why they didn't get prompted to verify themselves. Anybody know?
