In the 2022 WC, a news editor has been fired after having mentioned Morocco by name. Generally, Morocco’s results in 2022 have been covered in Algeria, in the passive mode « Portugal/Spain has been eliminated… ».
For more context, an Algerian football fan has been sentenced recently to 2 years in Jail for wearing Morocco’s jersey during a match he attended.
