It has been popping up nonstop and it's unbearable. Any way to fix it?

I know he was created just to sell more comics in an era where a big brawny villain smashing the good Guy was the n°1 trend (correct me if I'm wrong), but apart of that, why does he hate Batman? I've read some comments that stated something about Bane having nightmares in his childhood with a demonic bat thingy, probably a product of his shitty life in Peña Duro, but I also remember that I once read about how Bane's personal vendetta against Batman comes from Bane trying to be Gotham's saviour and failing due to I don't remember what, and afterwards, he got enraged after seeing Batman succeed. What's his real motive?
