Got STEM OPT biometrics scheduled within a day after applying — is this normal?

Applied for STEM OPT on May 14th and got a biometrics appointment scheduled for June 2nd — the notice came just a day after submission. Is that normal? It feels unusually fast.

Has anyone else had their biometrics scheduled this quickly? And for those who have already gone through it, how long did it take to get a decision after the biometrics appointment?

Hey everyone,
My OPT ends on May 18, and I’m honestly really stressed right now.

My company is trying to register for E-Verify, but USCIS asked them to call or email, and they’ve been trying to reach them with no response so far. I’m worried this might take too long.

On top of that, my DSO takes around 5 working days to issue the I-20, so the timeline is getting really tight.

Has anyone been in a similar situation?

  • How long did E-Verify enrollment take for your company?
  • Any way to speed it up?
  • What should I do as a backup?

Would really appreciate any advice, super stressed right now 😭
