Anyone else messing around with Hermes Agent? The DeepSeek token economy is actually insane right now 🤯
Been falling down the rabbit hole of AI agents lately and just curious if anyone else in the sub is using Hermes Agent? You definitely don't need to be a hardcore dev to get a lot out of it, it's actually pretty wild for just automating general daily stuff.
I originally had it hooked up through OpenRouter running DeepSeek V4 Flash. I attached my dashboard—I somehow pushed 179 MILLION tokens across like 2k requests and it only cost me $12.50. (You can get way more tokens for just 1$)
But I just realized it's actually way cheaper to just skip OpenRouter entirely and get the API directly from DeepSeek. Also, if you use Command Code, there's a deal right now where you get $40 worth of DeepSeek for literally $1.
Honestly, at this price point, leaving an agent running in the background to handle heavy research, long-form writing workflows, agentic coding , or even OSINT doesn't feel like it's going to bankrupt me anymore lol.
