You can go back in time to go to any FIVE gigs ever played. What you gonna choose and why?

This is the choice of a mid-fifties man from the UK, so bear that in mind when you judge my selection! 😄

And remember it's just a bit of fun, please don't shit on me or anyone else's suggestions.

(In no particular order)

The Beatles at The Cavern Club : the musical equivalent of watching Michelangelo put the first brush strokes on the Sistine Chapel ceiling! How could you not want to witness that?

Led Zeppelin on tour after the release of IV : Bonzo on the drums. Stairway to Heaven. Nuff said!

Hendrix with Band of Gypsies at Filmore East in 1970: Quite simply I would give my left nut to see this man playing the guitar.

Genesis, Peter Garbriel era, 1973 : I know they are deeply unfashionable now, but id love to see them play this era of songs with the original line up.

Fela Kuti's nightclub, Lagos, 1970s. : please allow me to stretch the meaning of "gig" to include this. In the 70s Fela and his band would play until the small hours in this tiny nightclub. You might catch Ginger Baker on drums, but you'd definitely get an intoxicating atmosphere and some top quality herb 🤣

That's me, hope you have fun thinking of your own.

Peace and Love, people, peace and love.
