I’m looking for some wish fulfillment tonight. I loved Jared from {Deception by Amanda Quick} who sees Olympia struggling with her nephews and being taken advantage by others and decides then and there to be her protector. *Swoon*

Actually all my fav HR’s have some element of this like iconic Kleypas hero’s Cam and Sir Ross from {Mine til Midnight by Lisa Kleypas} and {Lady Sophia’s Lover by Lisa Kleypas} respectively. I’ve also devoured Alice Coldbreath’s work and definitely felt this with {A Substitute Bride for the Prizefighter by Alice Coldbreath} (another swoon worthy MMC in Benedict).

I prefer single m/f pairings and am open to any genre but… contemporary. High spice is always welcome, but please no big age gaps.

I have also read {Ice Planet Barbarians by Ruby Dixon} and {Halfling by SE Wendel} that gave me these vibes.
