Hello,

I’m planning to move to Muscat soon but have a medical condition that requires me to see a specialist (immunology). I may need to complete more testing there and was told I should get insurance.

What medical insurance and medical centers do you guys recommend for foreigners? I want to be able to communicate my condition well so I would love it if they understood English. For insurance, something that isn’t too overpriced would be best

Which led me to wonder, are the specialists in Muscat area any good? What were some of your experiences seeing one if you’re an expat? It would take me some time to find appropriate insurance once there. Is the cost of care from specialists expensive? Also, is anyone familiar with others getting such treatment for MCAS in Oman?? I’m going to try taking a supply of my medication but i’m unsure how long it’ll last 😓
