Thoughts on my dilemma?
So my mom had SIBO and ive had symptoms for years. I finally did the breath test which came back positive.
My doctor perscibed me Rifaximin. Unfortunately my insurance denied it. Anthem blue cross California and Im a state worker. The doctors office called me and said they have a method to get it approved and that as long as shes worked there it hasnt failed. That was Wednesday.
Just now my pharmacy called and said I have a new antibiotic (Augmentin) and that its ready for pick up. I told her Idk what that it and she said she wasnt sure either bc the other one I have (rifa) is on hold and this new one isnt really used for SIBO. So idk what to do. Try the Augmentin or call my insurance and doctors Mon?
