This morning Democratic candidate for governor Jerri Green held an event at City Limits Bakery and Cafe in Bellevue. The event was coordinated between Green’s campaign and the cafe. However, after the crowd size grew the cafe decided they no longer wanted the event to proceed as planned and did not want Green to speak to the people who showed up on a Saturday morning to hear what she had to say.

MNPD was called and the crowd was dispersed. Why would a business agree to host a candidate for governor and then have this kind of response to a large response, most of which were spending money in the cafe?

If you’re a coffee and democracy lover who lives on the west side of town maybe consider somewhere else.
