I’ve got a question, why do people treat valorant like it’s 1vs5 and they DON’T have teammates like ever, they don’t want to get helped or they can’t help the team? Cause if you see a fade or Skye dog is coming they hide instead of shooting it, even worse about sova dart or fade eye, just hiding instead of actually shooting, cause you’re just a detriment to your team that expects a little bit of help.
I don’t give a fuck that you don’t know how to use ANY other gun other than the sheriff and the vandal, you HAVE TO force a gun UNLESS you’re saving for a specific gun (Odin/Operator)
This is an issue in EVERY RANK btw, even radiants just keep playing bandit and sheriff and it’s not rare that we get outgunned even tho we won the pistol
It’s not rare that even in high ranks (3 times peak radiant eu) people are just straight up bad with utility, things like not using util before dying and initiators like sova and fade scanning people max 5 times IN AN ENTIRE MATCH.
My theory is that since valorant console launched clove and chamber were already on the game, and it made a lot of people skip what players on pc went through (release of 15+ characters and as I said not having clove or chamber from the start), so that made people “overrate utility” and just focusing on the gunplay (made it even worse due to aim assist) which made “developing util usage” very bad on console were people in rad/immo use utility (outside of dualist ofc) worse than diamond on pc.
I’ve also assisted to multiple situations where radiant peak say “uhhh why focus on lineup just shoot your gun” in situations where I throw my dart from a site ascent to b site on defense and my teammates get like 3 kills for free shooting through smoke, to the point where you’re almost getting “shamed” for having lineups (just a reminder, I’m talking about radiant and immortal which is common on pc to have lineups btw).
I hope all of this kind of stops in the future as the game ages on console too and with the release of new patches with initiators/senti buffs and dualists nerf.
