Will Brentford need to intentionally lose a match

Sat here bored at work looking at the league table and I suddenly had a thought and wondered if anyone could shed some light. Will Brentford potentially be in a position where they need to intentionally lose their final game?

If Liverpool remain 4th, Villa remain 5th, and Brentford 6th, and Villa also win the Europa league, Brentford would qualify for the Champions league. They play Liverpool in the final game of the season, providing they are far enough ahead of Bournemouth not to get caught, they’d need to lose to Liverpool to avoid there being a chance of Villa winning their final game and finishing fourth which would in turn remove Brentford’s champions league spot?

Would the league need to step in to avoid a situation where a team intentionally tries to lose?

Edit: sorry if I haven’t explained it well, English is my second language
