As the title says, I am VERY white, but I wanted to cosplay Licorice Cookie, specifically his ZZ Skull outfit.

I'm sure most can agree that his hair resembles dreadlocks or braids. I don't want to take that away by just using a regular straight wig, as I think it's integral to his design.

Personally I'm just worried about being accused of cultural appropriation due to it. I was intending on using this chunky yarn to get the effect without using actual braids due to this concern, but I was wondering the thoughts of everyone else.
