I absolutely adore this game but I keep encountering a rather dangerous bug.
Randomly while playing, or even while the game is sitting idle and minimized, suddenly it starts to SUCK all the memory of my gpu and everything quickly degrades until finally my monitors blink off because my gpu has overheated. It was up to 80c even after a few minutes rebooting, so it's likely going even higher in the moment.
I've taken the time to be as sure as I can that this isn't some general issue with my pc.
Playing helldivers 2, elden ring, or any other game I've tried doesn't cause this to happen or my temps to spike NEARLY to that level and I would imagine those games would be pushing my 2080 super much harder than RR does.
It also doesn't ever happen while just doing normal browsing or watching movies etc, so I'm fairly certain the issue lies with the game somehow.
I've verified the files and they're fine. I have a single mod (one that adds old movie trailers and blockbuster commercials) but I looked through the comments for the mod and didn't see anyone saying they have the issue I'm having.
If I manage to close the game before the monitors shut off, the issue immediately stops. However if I relaunch the game (and click to resume my save) the rapidly decreasing framrate and spiking temperature starts back up again without fail. However if I restart my pc, the issue won't immediately pick back up.
The issue doesn't seem to have anything to do with my actual actions or input in the game, as I've had it suddenly happen while the game was idle and minimized before I'd began a day and was just stood in my office.
As for how frequent it is, it's..quite random. I had it happen twice today in just a hour or so but usually it's many hours or days between instances of this happening. I've had the game on and idle overnight without it happening, so I really can't pin down an average frequency

I think that's about all the information regarding it I have to give, if I find out anything new I'll make an update to this post.

I doubt anyone here could really FIX this but I would really appreciate if anyone that has encountered this could reply to this just so I can fully rest easy that it's not super weird super specific issue with my pc. Pic of my store for flavor.

I'm considering only putting certain genres on sale, or possibly making it so only current new releases are available to maximize profit- but is that something that would work? Are what customers rent based just on what's available or on variety? Like if I had 100 horror movies, would they rent less than if I had 25 of 4 genres?
Also, I've never seen one rent both the current new releases at once, is that possible or do they only ever rent one?
I've seen them rent multiple of the same genre many times, but I don't know what is coincidence and what isn't.

I've gone through my first year and got to the point the new releases started over. If you're unaware, the SKU codes on all non-released new releases stop functioning if the movie hasn't been released that year, so you can't order new copies or display posters.

However, what about renting out the copies you still have of those movies? I've been watching my returns and haven't seen a single one of the new releases come back through since it rolled over. Is this just a coincidence or are these copies unable to be rented out yet and are currently just taking up shelf space?
