Solo trip
I'll be traveling to Perth Australia in October this year and would like some advice on expenses I should know before I go. I'll be staying with a friend for the month long holiday. I'll also be doing a group trip to another country from Perth and will fly back to spend a month with my best friend who I'll be staying with. I've set the same amount for both trips.
It'll be my first time travelling to Australia on my own, and though I'm kind of nervous about it an am trying my best to not go overboard with, preparing myself for the unexpected. I just need a bit of advice. I have set aside money for emergencies because you never know what could happen while travelling. I have travel insurance and I have roughly set aside 4-8k (NZD) for food, activities, shopping, gifts, traveling etc. I don't believe I'll spend that whole amount within a month for both trips but I wanted to make sure I am prepared. I do have extra fund's left over, and just wonder, if that amount is reasonable or I'm just overthinking. 🤔
What's a reasonable amount of money to have while I'm on my solo trip?
