What is the name of this stitch or binding?
Hello! I know absolutely nothing about book binding. I recently bought this sketchbook online and was devastated to find that the pages were extremely thin, and any shading above a simple sketch would cause the pages to warp and bunch up. I am, however, absolutely in love with the cover, which is top grain leather and adore the embossing. I wanted to know what type of binding this is and what that chain like stitch at the top and bottom of the spine is called so I can look up a tutorial or something to stitch in some of my own paper in place of the existing ones. I have the materials to cut, fold, and stitch the pages, I just don't know what this specific technique of binding the signatures together is called.
