Im about to enter my fourth year in community college as a 21 year old. I’ve completed 83 credits so far mostly comprised of GEDs, side classes and classes for different majors I was into at the time. Right now, part of me wants to go to either law school or just become a civil engineer. I had a terrible first semester being a 1.9 so I’ve pretty much had to maintain high 3.0 to get it to where it is right now. I know law school has higher gpa requirements and no matter if I maintain 4.0 over the next few years, highest I can get is around 3.5-3.6 because of how many credits I’ve taken already. I don’t know what I personally prefer but I know I value that I don’t necessarily love or hate my job but I should at least like and be able to bare it. I always see people in medical or any field in general end up quitting when they get there as it isn’t their interest. I don’t want that to happen to me, but at the same time I’ve already taken too much time to pick a major and don’t want to keep postponing it. I also value lifestyle like I don’t want to be married to my job. I still want to travel the world, have a family, have time for my hobbies while making a good amount to support that minimally. So I’m not sure what I lean towards more yet as I don’t want ai to replace me or have much difficulty in finding a job assuming I get the degree and have the necessary experience. Although I’m always told no matter which side a certain gpa can make or break how you get your first job. I’m not sure if true, but please let me know what I should do to decide.
