In Maine the decency laws state indecent exposure is qualified as exposing one's genitals under circumstances that in fact are likely to cause affront or alarm.

And also exposing one's self in a private place with intent of being viewed from a public or another private place.

What does this look like in practice? Can I be naked on my porch if my neighbors can see me? On the beach if no one is around? I'm not trying to be a creep, I don't want to walk around town nude. Just want to know about the limits on sunbathing and such.
