Hello everybody! I’m currently going through what I believe to be more deep cognitive wake-up symptoms as I haven’t had any cognitive relief yet, and all my other symptoms got better after they got worse. I had my first wake-up symptoms the first week, then a 2nd wave around weeks 5-6, and now what I believe to be the 3rd wave around week 9.
I have a genetic mutation causing worsened B12-recycling (MTRR A66G (GG)), some other now resolved absorption stuff (managing food intolerances), along with having had flagged high homocysteine a while ago.
My symptoms right now are worsened brain fog and a feeling of disconnection, light sensitivity, moderate to light insomnia, headache that moves and comes and goes, unresponsive to cofactors (which I take; potassium, magnesium, calcium, iron, b vitamins etc.) and water intake. Has anyone been through similar? Please let me know how it went for you and how and when it gets better!
I’ve had horrible brain fog, apathy, derealization and disconnection for so long that I didn’t realize until now, when everything got worse, just how BAD it’s been. I don’t think I’ve even been close to having had any mental clarity in many years. I don’t even remotely remember what it’s like. That’s also why I’m so excited for this chapter to be over soon too!
I am taking 3000mcg methylated B12 (I do not have a sensitivity to methylated forms) and 500mcg methylfolate daily! The B12 is sublingual, and the folate is just regular pills.
Has anyone else recently dealt with start up symptoms coming in waves, and how did everything turn out for you?
Wishing y’all an amazing rest of your day!
