Hi, I’m going on a trip to disney world in a few weeks and am hoping to apply for DAS. Previously I have been denied despite explaining that I am autistic and cannot cope with queues over 10 mins due to the constant moving and stopping. I also have severe anxiety and sensory issues (made worse by my being autistic) which means when queuing in a hot space surrounded by lots of people all making different noises and accidentally touching me I can quickly reach the point of meltdown and result in me needing to leave the park. I’m from the UK and hold an access card and blue badge (related to mobility issues). Obviously I know the system is different but here in the UK my access card makes it clear I need access to a system similar to DAS in order for me to go to theme parks. Another thing is I struggle with self advocation. Is there any way I could avoid having the reapply again as my trip is around 5 days and last time it took nearly a week to get approved. Any advice would be appreciated.
