I just moved into a unit in BC. During the viewing, the unit was represented as having an intercom/buzzer system and there was a phone in the house that would receive the calls. After moving in, I found the phone removed, and the agent told me the intercom hasn’t been working for several units and may take a long time to fix because it’s a strata issue. and he said landlord just told him and it was happening since last tenancy(it's not new).

This wasn’t disclosed before I signed, and I probably wouldn’t have taken the unit if I’d known. Has anyone dealt with something similar through the RTB? Would this be considered loss of an included amenity or misrepresentation, and is a rent reduction/compensation realistic?
Or am I too sensitive? It's 3 story building with 20-30 unit in each floor. I live on the second floor but having to physically go downstairs every time is ridiculous.
