Please tell me what you think of my son’s haircut

We went to this place last night that my other son went to and got his hair done exactly how he wanted by an amazing stylist. I was super happy for him that he had such a great experience.

So I made an appointment for my other son because his usual stylist was booked out a few weeks, I’m going away for a few days and he really wanted a haircut before I left. I told the receptionist exactly what I told them for my other son - scissor cut only, no clippers, and with a stylist who is in the know with like, a trendy men’s shag cut or something similar because my son likes to wear his hair a little longer and messy.

I thought all was well, but when we got there I dropped him at the door with my husband while I parked and when I came in he was already in the chair with the man I saw last time who I thought was the salon barber. I was a little confused, but thought maybe he did haircuts too. I’m not sure he did though because when we got home, my son told me he dropped the scissors multiple times while he was cutting his hair and even cut himself once and had to get a bandaid.

My son said he seemed irritated during the haircut, and I started wondering if it was because he thought his appointment coming in (last appointment at the end of the night 7:00) was for a clipper cut and he was surprised to find out it was a scissor cut.

I don’t know, what do you think of the cut? Keeping my opinions to myself, but haircut brought my son to tears. The last photo are pictures of what his hair normally looks like. The top left photo is what it looked like just before the haircut. I know his hair looks messy in the before pics, but thats how he loves his hair 🤷‍♀️
