I, 42 female am 2 weeks post Robotic heart bypass and im not doing very good at all. Besides still being in constant pain, im worried my wounds aren’t healing. Especially the chest tube spot. It’s completely gapping open still. Doesnt appear to be starting to close up still yet. I can’t help but imagine the worst possible scenarios happening because I’m starting to have nightmares over it. For instance, last night I dreamed a spider crawled inside of it and was laying eggs inside my lung! Crazy, I know, but I live in a tiny shed without insulation, so spiders and random bugs are an everyday thing here, so it’s not a very far fetched idea. Also, pain seemed to be getting a bit better for a few days there but I feel like I’m starting to backtrack now and today I’ve been in horrible pain all day long. As nighttime is getting close now, im getting scared it’s going to be a very long, painful, restless night. Any advice????
