I’m prediabetic, insulin resistant, and I have hashimotos.

Just want to share this here for those who are slow to lose weight but are putting on muscle. I started zepbound because I was just tired of well, being fat. But more importantly, I was so inactive for so long after having a very active lifestyle I stopped recognizing myself in the mirror. I lost both parents in 2024 and was spiraling. I gained an additional 30 lbs to the 30 extra lbs I had gained in 2021-2023. My hba1c was creeping up, my cholesterol was high, BP going up. I was using very unhealthy coping mechanisms to deal with the loss of my parents and I needed something to change. I decided that enough was enough and I need to honor the life my parents gave me by taking care of myself, they would have wanted that for me.

While I’ve been a slow responder, my goal was to get healthy and find joy in movement again. Over the last 6 months I went from being unable to run for 2 minutes and basically a couch potato to back at the gym lifting 4 days a week and running 2x a week! I even ran for 35 minutes (!!!!) without stopping! My husband and I are even training for a Hyrox together. This medication changed my freaking life and I’m so grateful for it, and I’m proud to say I take it. I’m working my freaking ass off and I’m proud of it. 💪🏽🤍
