I’m currently in a high cost of living area that I am greatly debating leaving. If it wasn’t for my partner’s family being so close and some friends nearby, I’m not sure I’d have any real reason to stay. I’m just trying to get some advice for looking for jobs out of state or even internationally (though that would be a much less likely sell to my partner). I am working a job that would potentially allow me to transfer to another location across the country after a year or two, but the pay and conditions aren’t the best, so I’m 100% alright starting from ground 0.

I like having something running in the background, and lately I’ve enjoyed putting on an idle game while cleaning, listening to a podcast, grinding in some RPGs, etc. I’ve played some of the classics (LOVE Cookie Clicker) on my laptop and some on mobile, but I’d like some variety. I’ll generally try anything, but if I were to look for a dream game…
- Options to play passively and/or actively. Ex: I’d start a “run” of Cookie Clicker very actively for an hour and then go back to it sporadically a few times an hour.
- More content good, as long as it’s not *very* repetitive or too much of a slog. If it takes 10+ multi hour reincarnations to get to the “good” or unique part… no. Number go up is good, but I can only witness it for so long before I move on.
