What to do if you gmail and YouTube are hacked
The short story is I got hacked on May 5th and got my email back May 15th and then on May 17th I got my YouTube channel back!
So my gmail account associated with my YouTube channel was hacked. The hacker changed all my verifications and added new authorizers, then streamed some live crypto copyright stream on my channel which then got it terminated.
I wasn’t able to recover my gmail account using any of the basic recovery links google has on their general help message boards so here is what I did to get my gmail and YouTube channel back that worked:
Download X (make a X account) then follow and make a post to @YouTubeTeam that your YouTube account was highjacked.
They will respond even if you have no followers.
For me, they responded right away, then I replied back, but then it took them days (like 3-4 days) to reply back to me.
Then another couple days to reply back to my next reply, then they finally asked for my contact email and a link to a special form to get the the recovery process going for people in my situation.
The hard part was being patient. They will reply on X so give it a few days.

Thank you google! I do wish we didn’t have to communicate to them via X but it worked, although I did have to be SUPER patient.
