We reserved a ride service a week in advance, from our hotel to the airport. Everything was paid in full and a reservation confirmation was received. The last day of our trip, I received an email from GetTransfer informing me that they were unable to honor the reservation. This email notification was received at 15:30 - our pickup was scheduled for 9:30 the next morning. Instead, they requested a 700% price increase in order to fulfill the original reservation. 700%!!! In addition to this absurdity, after declining the new charge, GetTransfer also refused to provide a full refund.
So not only were we given much less than 24 hours notice of this change in plans, but we were left to scramble on our last day to secure a different means of transportation, and we are fighting for a refund. Who checks their email while touring the Italian coast? If I had not logged in to confirm other booking information, I would not have seen the email informing me of their dishonest service.
Dishonorable, dishonest company. They continue to decline a refund and I’m currently awaiting cc dispute resolution. There are a number of complaints on the app, citing similar experiences.
