I inherited this very interesting bar piece, but I want to take it back down to the wood, and possibly re-stain it. I’m a novice when it comes to furniture restoration. I have an orbital sander with foam pads and a scraper. What products would you use on this to restore it? I need advice! I’m terrified of screwing it up. Im pretty positive it’s black paint and not stain, but not sure if it’s latex or chalk with a coating on top.
Recently ditched our formal dining table and starting to redesign the dining room as a sitting area (for wine 😉🍷). We hung some old doors we had in storage, kinda like shutters, and I really like them, but I’m not sure what do do with the window dressings.
Should I get a woven shade instead of blinds? Maybe some kind of transom window or architectural piece to hang above it? Should I just do curtains? I can’t lower the vintage doors, they’re already sitting on the baseboards.
Visited our Costco today for the first time. I was a regular at the Forum location. If you’re like me and bought whole bean coffee at Costco and used their in-store grinders, be aware that our Costco DOES NOT have grinders. And I asked a manager if they were expecting to get any and she said that ALL costcos were phasing out in-store grinders due to them breaking a lot.
Side note: our Costco also doesn’t have a liquor store attached 😭.
Other than those two things, I’m still pretty happy to not have to battle cibolo/selma/schertz traffic to get to a Costco.
I have a P14s, Gen 5 with a Lenovo universal USB-C dock. Of course I have all the stupid monitor blinking issues, it drives me nuts. I’ve done the little patch to disable the DSC that Lenovo recommends, which worked for a while until it didn’t. I’m basically looking for a new dock for my single monitor workspace. Can anyone recommend a brand or model that will eliminate this blinking issue? My only requirement is that the dock have an Ethernet port.
