Hello brethrens! We are a band called 3Belas!

3Belas is an independent, progressive funk jazz rock band from Brunei that originally formed in 1999.The band's name (pronounced "Tiga Belas", meaning 13 in Malay) was coined during its early days when they performed bi-weekly locally and regionally.

Over the 25-year history, the band has experimented heavily with a wide variety of sounds. The band describes its sound as a mix of multiple genres. Core Roots being Progressive modern rock, experimental funk rock, and jazz rock.

History and Timeline

1999–2005: Founded by songwriter (me) S.O. (vocals), Sp. (guitar), A.S. (guitar), G.A. (drums), and J.S. (bass). We wrote over 200 songs, performed local gigs, and appeared on regional radio and TV. We also briefly performed nu-metal under the alter-ego name 13th Project.

2006–2009: We entered a multi-year hiatus due to internal complexities.

2025–2026: Celebrating 25 years since our inception, the band launched a massive project remastering our extensive backlog of music. Our albums can be found on platforms below:

Hey folks!

Posting here because I recently started uploading my band’s songs and albums mid-March. We uploaded a back catalog of 100s of songs we previously released in the early 2000s using CDs, and websites (before social network existed). We then went on hiatus right around end of 2005.

Now 20 years later we decided to reunite and re-release our old songs. The main enhancement being the DAWS technologies of today have far advanced features than the time of Cakewalk software. Presets is the biggest win for today’s LogicPro and BandLab standards.

Now our mastering is not pristine but So far we have released 5 albums and within the 3 months we gained around +3.4million streams across all platforms, 600K+ on Spotify alone.

Our next phase is to begin public performances, but to be honest we have a setback as our main guitarist has decided to retire, for very valid reasons, so we are eyeing for another.
