Sparking During Desk Test

Hey folks,

I am building my first ever PC, and have just gotten to the part where I desk-test it. I plugged it in, turned on the PSU, then touched a screwdriver to the PW pins on the F Panel to start it.

Nothing happened, so I turned off the PSU and went to grab a different screwdriver tip. I came back, turned the PSU on, and the entire system immediately put off large blue sparks. It was loud too. I had not yet touched the PW pins.

I shut the PSU off and yanked the plug and have been scared to touch it since. I’m worried that I’ll wreck something. I definitely can’t afford new parts.

For reference, pretty much everything is used but the PSU is new from Amazon. I only used cables that came with the PSU. The PSU was plugged into a power strip (see photo).

What should I do? I’m at a loss.
