I got what I suspect to be an external hemorrhoid last week, and the past few days have been miserable. It was a large and hard lump yesterday and extremely painful, so i went out and bought prep h and used it. it burned at first, but i had a lot of relief. that is until late last night, i stood up from my chair after studying and felt this super sharp pain. now its shrunk in size and is squishier, but it hurts to walk after standing like a sharp pain, and sometimes when urinating too. now im noticing that its bleeding, only a small amount but enough where its noticeable after dabbing it with toilet paper. it burns to touch now too, so i stopped using the cream. should i go see a doctor? there are no proctologists/colorectal doctors within 100 miles of me so i dont know who i would see.

I will make this quick. I think I have an external hemorrhoid. No blood in stool, and the thing does bleed its just a sizeable lump. Some days I forget it exists, some days it hurts just when its pressed slightly. Its a firm lump, I find that it gets super mad when I sneeze or cough too hard lol. I just don’t know if it is an external hemorrhoid, any treatments, etc. I know I sit alot, I need to walk more, but engineering classes disagree with that sentiment. I’m an avid lifter so maybe it stems from that? The constant waking up and not knowing if I’ll be in pain is starting to get boring and I need to figure out ways to fix.
edit: its not firm anymore its squishy and it hurts and burns now idk wtf happened
