Anybody do a Sheffield Wednesday rebuild lately? Would love to see the progress others have made if they’ve attempted it! I’ve shared a picture of my current squad.
Context:
I’m currently in the 2027/28 campaign. I did Live Point start and went thru the season in League One, gaining promotion via playoff promotion.
Since Wednesday were recently purchased with US owners, I started with a $10m immediate boost. I still kept the wage budget realistic in league one (highest paid player was on $8k/weekly wage) and finished in 6th place, winning the final at Wembley.
I have Unexpected Events set to high, and a production team is doing a documentary on our rebuild. Because of our form, investors injected another $10m into Wednesday with the goal of fighting for a playoff spot and achieving a dream double promotion back into the playoffs.
Can I hang on and go up?!?! I’ll more than likely finish the league tomorrow (play some sim most until final stretch) and will provide updates!
Anyone else have something like this going on with Wednesday?!?!? Would love to hear about it or get your thoughts on my current squad. I know Sheffield won’t turn it around this fast. I’m in it for the “young manager was given a chance at Sheffield and is now the biggest young manager in Europe” story. I’m heavily considering moving to Rangers next (currently 3rd behind Hearts & Celtic).
